I have known Streakers since the days when it used to be Midnight Lace back in the 90's. I stopped in last week while I was in east Texas on business. The place has not changed much except for the dancers, and maybe its gotten a little dirtier. It would benefit from new furnishings. The chairs are getting to the point you look for one that sits level and is maybe not as dirty/sticky as the others. The club is still set up with with a main stage with mirrored wall and pole and then two side stages. The dancers are a little less sociable every time i stop by. I remember walking in with a cooler and a bottle of my favorite tequila back in the day (it's a BYOB club and I love that)and having to decide which girls you would let stay at your table. Now its more like hey can I get some conversation over here.

The place is still half price dances on Wednesday, $10 a dance or 2 for $20 on half price Wednesday and Monday i believe as well. The dancers are a mix of ages from 20 something young to maybe middle 30's, mostly the cornfeed county type, it is east texas after all. About half of them are easy on the eye's while the other half should go back to waiting tables at Appleby's or take some lessons on how to dance with some sort of grace. One girl tried to dance to Metalica's One, it looked more like a spasm than a dance. The range of music is the usual mix of the same old songs with a little country mixed in now and again. I still can't get over the furniture, I believe I sat in the same chair when i went there for my 21'st birthday and I'm 35 now. The club still offers the private booth dances, thats where the 1 for $10 or 2 for $20 price comes in. The table dances are 1 for $5 or 2for $10 on half price night. I didn't see anyone take a table dance, why would you when a booth dance is private and more personal if you know what i mean.

I only stayed for about an hour. It was long enough to sort through the dancers, about a dozen in all. I picked out a couple and spent $20 a peice on them and the experience was average at best. I really think if it weren't for the memories from my younger years I would probably forget all about this place as it could certainly benefit from a makeover and a little better class of dancers. I will probably go back the next time I'm in the neighborhood, but there will be no special trips to visit.
