This review is from a trip...
This review is from a trip a few weeks back. I haven't been in New York for a couple of weeks now, so my regular clubbing rounds up there have been stopped until there is another business reason for me to visit the Big Apple.
Like anything New York, Flashdancers is expensive. I never actually figured out the scheme on the cover charges, but if you get there early enough there is none. Later in the evening it has varried fro me from $10 to $20 or so. Sometimes there is a coat check, sometimes not, although they did seem to ahve it at all times during the winter months. Some of them charged me $3 per item ($6 to check my coat and brief case) and some just a flat $3 for both.
If I am going back to the office or planning to do more work at my hotel afterward, I usually don't drink in the clubs. Even when I do drink, I don't opt for bottle service, as I am not there for the alcohol. Flashdancers compares with the other places I have visited in Manhattan for soft frinks and water, somewhere around $10 including the tip. Even though the hard stuff is a little more, if I am inclined to partake on a particular night, it is usually only a couple or a few, so I'll splurge up to $20 a pop including tip.
