I dropped by Deja vu Showgirls...
I dropped by Deja vu Showgirls on a Wednesday evening (from 9 to midnight) the week before Christmas. A friendly manager met me on the way in and nicely explained the deals. Dances were $30 for one, $100 for four, and $300 for an hour. But 2-for-$30 and 5-for-$100 deals happened about every half hour. The math doesn't seem to make sense here, but the implication was that you'd be getting higher quality and more contact on the more expensive deal.
My experience there wasn't as good as it was last year at about the same time. The girls were mostly natural, which I like, and none were offensively ugly. But the average attractiveness of the girls was a bit lower (5 - 9), although a few were great (Blaze, in particular). Pressure to buy dances was not great, but one short husky blond, probably the least attractive dancer there (in my opinion), approached me at one point and decided not to take "no" for an answer. After five minutes of pathetic begging, I finally had to tell her that "no means no," and she gave me the finger. So now I know how women feel when guys hit on them relentlessly.
The dancing on stage was fair, but not very inspired. I bought three private dances by asking girls if they would do a 2-for-1 dance the next time one was announced, and a spontaneous personal 2-for-1 deal immediately materialized just for me, so I couldn't say no. They were okay, but nothing special. One allowed two-way contact for free, another for an unspecified tip (I gave her $5 at the end and she seemed happy), and the other (Blaze) charged an extra $20 for it (but in her case it was worth it).
