There continues to be a steady...

There continues to be a steady stream of fresh talent on the stage at Fantasia recently. Most are the young, girl next door type. Plenty of the regulars, especially those who give the best VIP dances, are still around as well.

Unfortunately what is allowed on stage has cooled significantly in the last month or so. It seems there was an incident involving a drunken customer who attempted to show his appreciation to a dancer by inserting a beer bottle in her... well you know where he was trying to put it. She slapped him, and this resulted in quite a brawl involving the patron, his two equally smashed buddies and the two bouncers present at the time. Several holes were left in the walls near the entrance where the bouncer inserted one of the patrons head. As a result there is now absolutely no contact allowed at the stage. The dancers are no longer allowed to step up or sit on the counter that circles the stage, nor are they allowed to touch their costume in a certain intimate area.

On the positive side, the construction on the new entrance into "Sugar's" upstairs (The separate business with no ABC license where the VIP dances take place) seems to be finished. You exit Fantasia through a hall near the restrooms and go out the back door. About 6-8 feet across from the exit is the entrance to the stairway that leads up to the VIP rooms where you enter at the end of the hall between rooms 3 & 4. Both doors on the ground floor are at right angles to the back wall of the building in a recess that is somewhat protected from the weather. There is an employee who escorts you and the dancer from Fantasia to Sugars. Once upstairs it is business as usual. Choose the right dancer, negotiate the tip in advance (downstairs) and you can have a very good time. My preference is to go on a weeknight when it isn't quite as busy and the girls are willing to drop the tip levels a bit. Most of the dancers work either Mon-Thur-Fri-Sat or Tue-Wed-Fri-Sat. Monday seems to be the worst for no-shows. I think the management also sends girls home Monday (Tuesday for girls off on Monday) if they missed a shift over the previous weekend. If you want to see the entire lineup, go on Friday. Get there about 6 or 7pm (day shift starts leaving around 8pm) and stick around until 10pm or so (since they are open until 4am on weekends the night girls don't have to be in quite as early) if you can stand the smoke that long. Saturday tends to have a few no shows, probably the girls who made their $$$$ on Friday.
