I was sorry to hear that the Gold Club had been bought by Deja Vu. I have avoided their clubs in San Francisco as basically tourist traps. But I decided last month to stop in and check out my old hangout.

The basic layout and cover policy is the same. No cover before 7PM, which is a good deal. The quality of the dancers is about the same, with a few gorgeous and friendly women working the day shift. But things start getting worse as you find out some of the little Deja Vu changes.

Dances on the main floor are 20 bucks, and not worth anything. The more private areas are "2 for $60." This is really a bad move. The dancers will tell you that whereas some guys will go for one or two $20 dances, the 2for60 thing is a big turn-off and hit hurts their business.
