I used to be a regular at Ruby's, but haven't been there in about four years. It used to be my favorite in CT - friendly crowd and dancers, lots of Brazilians.

So, being in the area I decided to stop in to see how things were. I was amazed at how the place inside hadn't change on bit! Same torn barstools, same tables, chairs, "decor", etc. What I was really surprised about was that just about everyone was smoking! I guess they keep the local LE happy enough to not cite them for violating state laws.

Anyway, years ago the dancers used to hang out together at the table under the DJ, today that table was empty. Except for the single dancer on stage, there wasn't another dancer to be seen. Once the current dancer was finished, another one came out of the back room and got on stage. The first one made a bee-line to a guy sitting at teh bar and handed him her money, then they sat and talked a while.
