On a whim, I decided to stop by the Deja Vu on a Friday night. It truly was a whim because I often do not visit clubs on a Friday night due to its over-crowdedness plus the fact that one of my more favorite clubs (Hawai'i Theater) is less than a mile west on the same street. But I had already made up my mind to go so off I went and arrived at around 11:00pm.

Parking is usually ample here. The club shares a lot with many other businesses here. Most of which are only open during the day anyway. The only other business that was open in the same area was a karaoke bar. So I pulled in and easily found a spot to park. I saw an L.A. Sheriff's squad car parked out front but that did not hamper my decision to walk in. I said hello to the officer and he replied with a "Have a good evening.".

Upon walking into a very spacious foyer, I saw a fairly advanced entrance for a club. A couple of turnstyles and scanners upon purchasing a ticket for admittance. The cover was $20.00. A little steep for what I am used to paying (which is usually free at the other local clubs) but realized that the cost included my drink so I was good with it anyway. I have to say that the guy taking my cover was very polite and friendly. I always appreciate that when most of the guys working the door are usually dicks.
