I tried Rick's after midnight on a weeknight recently. There was a pretty good crowd and overall dancer quality was decent enough. On this particular visit the waitress was a little on the slow side. I think cover was $20.

I sat near the rear stage and tipped a little. There are better clubs in Manhattan for stage tipping. I also tried to keep an eye on the lap dance situation, in terms of noticing who was working the floor. There weren't many dancers roaming around, as several were engaged with customers.

I was approached by a cute Asian girl who started right off trying to sell the private room. I declined and opted for a dance instead. What happened next was my fault. I should have been smarter. However, sometimes the fatigue, the horniness and the alcohol conspire against me, which is what some of these places count on.
