We came in this past Friday...

We came in this past Friday to grab a few drinks around 8. Trying to catch their happy hour. Girls were very scarce at first. I didn't get approached by one till an hour after we arrived. Place is looking kinda run down. Renovations are definitely needed. The old aquarium is gone, just a gapping hole. Looks like crap. We were all jammin to the music selection though. A lot of Retro 80's. i guess it's a happy hour thing. My friends and I were having high school flashbacks. It was great! The night DJ is pretty much the real reason we actually stayed. Aside from the fact we got pretty frickin hammered and could'nt drive!

I've been in a lot of SC in my day, and I honestly have to say, the night DJ at that club is probably the best DJ I've come across yet. Has a real clear concise naturally deep radio voice. You can actually understand what he is saying!! Most DJ's I've heard tend to swallow the mic and get annoying as hell. Hilarious. He had us laughing hysterically while he totally humiliated an Asian bachelor on the stage. Boy they whooped his ass! I also hear these radio voice overs that say "Penthouse Club" quite often. Our waitress said he produced these ads for the club. Creative! It sounds really cool! Music selection for the most part is good, mainly Techno Dance and Rock. He is definitely lacking in the Hip Hop and R&B selection. Just cause were all white boys, doesn't mean we don't enjoy good hi-energy Dirty South hip hop, or some good R&B. That's my only complaint about him or the club for that matter. Otherwise I rate the DJ at a 9. The best in Houston without a doubt. We'll be back.
