Well, on my most recent trip...

Well, on my most recent trip to Detroit I planned on going by Trummps again. It was a fine time and I had no reason not to go except that I was driving a 26 foot Uhaul and they said they couldn't park it. Not wanting to leave it down the street (this is Detroit after all), I started checking a few other clubs that I hadden't looked into before. Club Verte, and Le Chambre looked promising. When I saw that someone posted that Tuesday was $10 dance night at LC (Thanks, wyandotteshark)...and realizing it was Tuesday...AND they had a huge (Strip mall) parking lot, my mind was made up. So here's the review.....

The Club - 4

Detroit seems to have an abundance of these clubs that seem to have started life as a smallish bar and then someone said, let's cover everything in velvet, replace our tables with a stripper stage and BOOM, we're a strip club. I paid $5 to get in, not too bad, and $5 for a coke (I wasn't drinking due to the Uhaul driving), which was a bit worse. The bar and stripping area were a little too well lit, but seating was comfortable and was kind of one big bench around the stage (velvet covered). Low goon factor as there were only 2 (that I saw) male employees other than the DJ, the doorman and a bartender. Wait staff was cute (cuter than some of the dancers) and were just flirty enough and did the 'hand on wrist' talk to you to make you feel nice while choking out that $5 coke payment. Kind of a 'regulars' bar, so if you are planning on getting a dance, you'd best do some stage tipping and give the girl the vibe, because once they sit with the regulars between sets....they might not get up again.
