This place is starting to lose...
This place is starting to lose some of its appeal for me. Whereas it was initially a "high class" place, in which many of the details were carefully taken care of even if there wasn't major payback to the management when they did take care of such a detail, now they don't bother any more. The wait staff is generally too young to "get" the concept of how to treat a gentleman like a gentleman, and that would be fine if they were super-hot and vivacious, but most of them are fat and surly. There are a few hot lookers in the wait staff, but they're busy being catty at each other by the bar. The dancers are mostly very good at flirting with a customer, making him feel like he is central to their experience and therefore an "important person," but many of the girls are extremely unreasonably enhanced, and most spend a LOT of time in the dressing room. There's one good DJ, one bad DJ. And the bad DJ is just AN IDIOT. "Classic rock" to him means Britney Spears, for example. The drinks are high, and that would be fine if you were getting what you were paying for. I think Scores is letting things slip a little. Howard Stern will be in town for the "official opening" -- I'll be sure to miss that -- and then in January they'll start charging a cover. What they need to do is really button down all the details and then ENSURE that the buttoning down STICKS. Right now it's slipping. I do drop in regularly -- weekend nights and weekdays -- and I have to say that at least three of the girls are as hot as any stripper I've ever seen, on TV or in real life. Bodies are exceptional. But this is a "high class" joint, in that it's hard to get a lot of contact in the privates, and the prices are higher than usual too. Some of the girl-next-door types here are very rough 'round the edges, and yet offering only low mileage as well, so ya gotta wonder what's in it for you if you are going to pay those exorbitant prices.
Anyway, great amenities, plush chairs, always well air conditioned, but frankly every other club on Bourbon Street (besides a few skank joints) can claim that fact. What sets Scores apart from Penthouse, Deja Vu, or DV Barely Legal? Used to be the details. Now it's not any more. Now it's only higher prices.
