I would have given this club...

I would have given this club a '1' if the staff there wasn't so damn nice. 11 PM on a Monday night, I enter the club and become their second patron. Big hint, when you approach a club for the first time and you see 1-2 dancers outside chatting up the bouncer, then you know it's probably a slow night (either that, or they have a 100 dancers in there that you can't see...) Admission card (good for a year) and mandatory two drink coupons drinks set me back $14. There were 5 dancers this particular evening. None over a 4, no kidding (and that's probably being generous). All could be considered candidates for extreme makeover--cellulite, paunchy stomach, c-section scars, dental work... I will say this, however, as soon as I entered the cashier/bartender set about to get me a beverage and assure me that they would have someone come out on stage. After a quick survey and tally of the ladies and confirmation that I had them all, I would have bolted. But, with two drink coupons and one of two patrons, how can you do that right away? So, I tossed back my two bottled waters, tipped a few of the dancers, and politely declined any dances. I did see one dance while I was there and I would describe it as mild contact. This club definitely has potential. The interior was reasonable. The DJ, was not completely obnoxious like most are prone to be (or maybe that was due to the low occupancy). The place is decently sized and reasonbly lit. The center stage in the center is reasonable sized with a brass pole, surround by a tipping row. The place has potential, but not on this night. One final note, all the dancers this evening were of mixed race, black, and/or hispanic. Not a white woman to be found. After four two dance sets I'd finished my first bottled water, and took my second out the door. Determined not to end the night like this I headed of to Little Darlings (in Lemon Grove). I defintely recommend it over Ten's, but I'll write that up as a separate review.
