I noticed I haven't written about...
I noticed I haven't written about Good Guys in a long time, even though it is my regular club. So in the spirit of informing the community I thought it time for an extended review of this fine establishment from a regular patron.
First thing to note to those not familiar with DC strip-clubs is that all clubs are fully nude, full bar, no private dances, no contact. Within those parameters there is a lot more room for variety than you would think. Camelot is known for absolutely gorgeous dancers but excessively tame dancing. Nothing that couldn't be published in Playboy is likely to be seen in Camelot. At the other end is Royal Palace. Think HUSTLER and the "accidental" contact from the dancer onstage pushed to the limit, with some very non-accidental contact available from many of the dancers offstage. Somewhere in the middle of this range is Good Guys. Think Penthouse before it went hardcore. The dances leave little to the imagination, the dancers are usually 7+ in looks, and some fun can be had offstage, but nothing likely to get you more than a warning from a bouncer as opposed to a criminal record and a course of antibiotics.
Good Guys is located in upper Georgetown, a mile or so south of the National Cathedral. The neighborhood is fairly upscale now, very safe. Off street parking is available and on street parking is not to tough if you are willing to venture a block or two off Wisconsin avenue into the residential neighborhoods. The club is still sort of a dive despite their efforts to push it in the Gentlemen's Club direction. Several changes of management, some minor redecoration, a new menu, website re-design, the usual stuff, but it is still a lovable dive.
