Having been less than completely impressed...

Having been less than completely impressed on a night with one of Mario's "guest stars" (read: "ancient B-list porn star"), I tried a less-hyped weeknight. I'm glad I did; there was a much better vibe in the room -- less competitive cattiness and more like being surrounded by the girls next door, if only the girls next door had walked around in teddies that fell off them a lot. One of the things that has consistently struck me about this club is that the performers usually come off as nice people, with whom one can actually have a conversation. There's rarely a time when customers aren't approached by girls, but it isn't the high-pressure get-a-dance-or-be-ignored that is the norm elsewhere. One girl actually sat with me at the stage while we shared sticking dollars between the dancers' breasts. We got a good mutual laugh out of that, and needless to say, I was quick to take her back for a private dance. That turned out to be one of the memorable PDs of a lifetime, by the way. I had two other dances, one OK, the other very good. Overall, a great evening. I'll add that amenities such as well-lit off-street parking and clean restrooms improve the experience markedly. Managers of a lot of other establishments should take note.
