I needed an attitude adjustment and took a time out to visit at 2 PM on a Tuesday. It is almost surreal that in broad daylight, as normal traffic whizzes by, you can walk through the door and enter a blacklit world of pounding beats and cold beer where all you need is a few bucks to forget about the world. Pickings were slim, but the rotation continued in fits and starts with long breaks between sets. Notable were Melanie and Glitter, who at least went through the effort on a scorching day otherwise. While this place gets busy at night, I like the relaxed atmosphere of the slow week-day and the kick of knowing that you can shut out the world and disappear behind the door.
