Club Femme-Nu is a block or so away from Club Rock-Za, and its format is the same as Rock-Za, so you'd think they'd be similar. But, while I found Rock-Za to be great, I had a bad time at Femme-Nu the Saturday evening I visited, and I wouldn't recommend it.

See my review of Club Rock-Za for a description of the format. But everything that Rock-Za did right, Femme-Nu seemed to do wrong. The staff at Rock-Za was friendly, but those at Femme-Nu were not. The girls at Rock-Za were beautiful, and those at Femme-Nu were not so beautiful (3 - 7) although I did see one 10 there (more about her later). The girls at Rock-Za tried hard to be erotic while dancing, but Femme-Nu's girls weren't really trying. A few less beautiful girls put in some effort, but, well, they weren't so beautiful, so it didn't really matter that much. Most of the somewhat better looking girls put in almost no effort during their personal dances on stage, instead spending their time (while I was paying them $1 every thirty seconds) pushing for $30-per-song private dances. Unfortunately, as most of them admitted, the private dances were the same as the non-contact dances they were doing at the stage for 1/5 the price. Several of the girls that did personal dances for me at the stage just didn't seem to care, so I stopped after only $2 or $3. One just sat there exposing her kitty and never moving, but demanding $1 every ten seconds or so. Another was actually reading a book! The one amazing-looking girl (Andrea or Angela, the 10 I mentioned earlier) actually kept pushing for a $300 half-hour private dance or a $400 hour-long dance, which she wouldn't describe (but I got the feeling that it was also non-contact). In fact, when I pressed her to make a case for this very expensive experience, her main selling point (and I'm not making this up) was that "we'd have our own personal waiter." Now, in my opinion, when it comes to waiters during private dances, I'd appreciate his waiting as far away as humanly possible. So I passed on this obvious rip off. And, of course, the "waiter" had to be a chaperone, enforcing the no-contact rule.

I finally left Club Femme-Nu when a waiter accidentally spilled a bottle of beer on me and didn't even bother to apologize. The dancer performing for me at the time tried to provide some sympathy, saying, "That's nothing. You should see how much beer gets spilled during fights." When I responded "Fights?" she said, "Oh, they happen here all the time." Indeed, Club Femme-Nu did seem like a place where fights would frequently break out. The crowd was loud and rowdy. And evidence for [revious fights is that you get scanned for metal as you enter (not so at Rock-Za).
