I returned to the Landing Strip...
I returned to the Landing Strip for the first time in several years on a recent Sunday night. The club seemed smaller, the dancers less attractive, and the general atmosphere less classy than I remembered. It's now a step down in class from Flight Club, but it's still a big step up from, say, Bogart's, and considerably better than my last visit to Play House. The club is upstairs in a gem of an old brick building on what was apparently Romulus' main drag about 90 years ago. If you're into architecture from that period, you might have fun exploring nooks and crannies. You can't see much in the club itself, as like too many clubs, it's too dark.
I would rate the average dancer there about a 6. There was the usual quotient of girls who really should lose a few pounds, but no one who really should look for another line of work. On the other hand, there were only a couple of real beauties (8-10). I must mention Nicky, the woman in the booth downstairs where you pay your cover charge. She was warm, friendly, good to talk with, and at least an 8. She said she had danced while she earned her degree, then left for a "real job." I asked if she'd considered returning to dancing; she said she's thought of it. Had she been dancing, she'd have easily made the top 3 in that night's staff.
Lap dance mileage varied a *lot*. The first dancer I took upstairs told me it was strictly hands-to-myself; she didn't even lose her bra until the 3rd song. She loosened up a little as the sequence went on, and actually undercharged me (yes, I made it up with a tip). The second dancer was out of her bra and shorts and cuddled into my lap before the lapper even started, and allowed full 2-way contact from the get-go. She was also careful to ask after each song if I wanted to continue: "I don't like to take advantage," she said. (She must be used to guys losing count...) She was significantly better-looking than the first dancer, too: go figure.
