I went to Bliss with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday on a recent Friday night. This was our first time there; we ten to frequent central Phoenix clubs, like Bandaid and the Hiliter. Anyway, variety is good. Bliss is a medium size club, not upscale, but not a dump either. It has the usual central stage, a coiple of small satellite stages, and one wierd little stage up behind the bar. The customers and dancers on that night were 80 percent white, and the place had a local/rural feel to it. The quality of the girls ran 4 to 7, with an tendency toward overly skinny and deflated breasts - lots of single moms and/or drug abuse. Anyway, while the atmosphere was ok, and the dances were $10, we only managed to get a few dances from one girl. The dances were moderate contact, ok. Oddly, not one girl actually approached us for the 2 plus hours we were there. When my girlfriend went to the bathroom, a couple girls approached me in the space of 2 or 3 minutes. In most clubs, some girls will prefer to dance for another girls, and take a break from the sweaty/groping guys. So, on balance, we wanted to like Bliss, but we felt out of place.
