Been coming here for years, first on the Military Trail location and now on Congress. The girls, for the most part, are a bit older and a few - especially Brett in the evenings and Rose in the day - are flat out scary, but there are some good girls, too. Thumper, a night girl, is a legend at the Mermaid. Get a private room dance and you'll find out why.

The owner of the Mermaid passed away recently but the place hasn't missed a beat. Table dances are $10. The couches in the dance area are very comfortable. Some of the girls charge $10 for a couch dance and other charge $20. I'd stay with the $10 tables.

The Mermaid still bills itself as a private club, but the only thing you have to do to become a member is give the door guy your name and he'll give you a membership card or put it in a book.
