Visited Atlantis Saturday night, for my "maiden voyage" after midnight. My buddy and I had heard about this upscale venue located in what may be the poorest town (Ford Heights) in the State of Illinois. It is surrounded by gating and lighting and is very close to the Expressway. Safety in this Oasis is not a problem.

I frequently visit Jimmy's, a club which is located about 10 minutes from Atlantis, which is simply a blue-collar pub with strippers and low frills. In fact, we stopped there for several drinks and lappers BEFORE heading to the newly-opened and ultra-hyped, Atlantis.

We arrive dressed to be impressed, although casual, in a nice and clean BMW. We were greeted by uniformed valets who welcomed us to the Club. My buddy got his claim ticket and we entered to pay the $10 or $20 cover (I had a free pass and used mine.) We were announced as a party of two and were escorted by a tuxedoed floor host who took us to our seats.
