I was recently in Philly for a conference. Delilah's offers free admission with your hotel room key, so I decided to go on a Thursday evening, around 8. The club is enormous. There are three or four bars around the outside of the room. The inside of the room is the main stage, probably thirty feet long. One end of the stage has two stairways that extend up to a catwalk; the dancers enter the stage from the catwalk. There were three or four dancers on stage at all times - one completely nude at the far end of the stage, and one at the end of the stage under the catwalk and one or two on the catwalk, gyrating while waiting their turn to disrobe. By far the best stage set up I've seen.
The night I went it was pretty crowded; at least thirty dancers, lots of hot waitresses, and maybe 150 people in the house. I got a drink and a gorgeous waitress started flirting with me and told me to let her know if I saw a dancer I liked. I was getting into the atmosphere, so I told her I'd finish my drink and get back to her.
Then a dancer approached me. Her line: "I just got into trouble. I was really bad!" OK, I think; I'll bite. "You couldn't have been too bad." "Oh, I was bad!" "What did you do wrong?" "I got into trouble. I was bad!" This went on for a little bit longer before I decided that her naughtiness was probably related to the intake of certain substances rather than to her friendliness with a customer. She asked if I smoked - I don't - and excused herself to get a cigarette and never came back. No loss.
