I hadn't been here for more...

I hadn't been here for more than a year, but recent positive reviews tempted me to drive out on a Saturday night. When I arrived about 6:00 -- thereby avoiding the rather steep $12.00 "we have a guest star" cover, the crowd was fairly sparse (no surprise there), but it picked up over the next couple of hours. Early on, the guest -- an "International Film Star" who was a masterpiece of fake boobs, hair, and God knows what else -- performed what can best be described as an old-fashion burlesque house striptease for the sake of the half-dozen of us at the stage. She started with an elaborate feathered, leathered, and sequined costume which she removed by degrees, often with the assistance of the otherwise marginally bored rail jockeys. OK, I can say that I've stuck two dollars into the cleaveage of an International Film Star. She had a little routine in which in invited gentlemen to lean backwards over the stage and balance $5 bills on their mouths. She then picked up the bills with her butt cheeks. I declined the experience. (Note to self: wash hands after handling change.)

Shortly after this a guy who must have been the president of her fan club (and conceivably the fan clubs of several other aging porn stars) turned up and proceeded to monopolize her time for the next two hours. When she wasn't signing his DVD collection, they appeared to be discussing nuances of plot and cinematography. To her credit, she seemed very gracious.

Meanwhile, I went for three extended private dances, one of which was pretty good and the other two far better -- although none of the standards that others have recently reported here. One still has to purchase a bracelet for the first trip to the PD room, at $7.00. The PD room has recently been equipped with very comfortable and spacious booths, although one of the girls told me that another renovation, which will add to the size of the room and include a "shower booth," is anticipated. Songs are full length, and one girl even sat and chatted for an extended time before starting her dance, so that we wouldn't begin halfway through a song. In fact, all three girls made a point of conversing at least enough to make the dance more personal than what one often finds. Outside the PD room, there was plenty of attention out on the floor, but low pressure, although the waitress was perhaps a little over-attentive early on, when the crowd was thinner. Incidentally, the club seems reasonably couples-friendly.
