The Foxy Lady is supposed to be the end-all be-all of dancing in Rhode Island. It has, like much of Rhode Island, a long legacy of intrigue.

I've been to FL on several occasions over the last four years and have usually had a pleasant time, though I found the dancers to be very eager but only once they see cash. I can understand that, really, but I've seen dancers sitting on a customer's lap and giving each other outright eye-rolls to one another.

Obviously they are there to do a job. I know that. You know that. They know that. But part of the trick, in my opinion, is to do your best to give the illusion of something else. As a general rule, the dancers at FL don't pull that off. You can see the man behind the curtain, and he thinks he has better things to do than make you happy.
