My first experience at Showcase was...

My first experience at Showcase was unimpressive. This isn't entirely the club's fault. Everyone was nice, all 3 dancers and the manager. I arrived at 5:30 on a Friday. The club advertises that they open at 5, but I wasn't sure, even after I entered. There were 5 people all at the bar on the far side as I entered (nobody at the door or ticket window). Of the 5, one was a customer, seemed very involved with one dancer so I guessed a regular. They dissapeared shortly, I assumed to the VIP. The doorman/manager/bartender came out from behind the bar, he seemed unsure about wether they were open also since hesitated a bit. There was nobody else and nobody onstage. I hesitated to pay the $20 cover and stay, but I figured on the bright side I had 2 dancers to myself.

The club is mostly one room. The main room is about 20'x30' with the stage along the left wall as you enter. To the left of the stage as you face it is an offshoot room, just an open wing of the main room really, about 15' square with chairs along 3 walls for LDs. Opposite the door is a small bar that sells energy drinks and water (no alcohol allowed) for $5ish. The stage is about 3' deep and 15' wide with the requisite brass poles and mirrors, but it is also divided in half by a railing. Facing the stage are a number of couches and plush seats, behind them are about a dozen small tables. Didn't see the VIP. The mens room was disgusting, the toilet broken, and no soap or towels evident.

The two other dancers, Alana and Penelope, were very friendly. Both were attractive in their own way. I'd rate them both 7-ish. Alana was a skinny blonde, natual body. a few tatoos. Penelopy was pretty curvy (some would say a bit too much so) enhanced but very nice boobs. With no stage show I chatted with the two dancers for a bit before agreeing to a dance with Alana. The sell was low key since there was no alternative for two dancers other than me, but you could tell they wanted to sell a dance or two early. Of the two Alana was the more insistent, so I went with her first.
