I've seen the Katch from the freeway every time I've driven through Knoxville, and I finally stopped by last week for the first time. At first I was a little wary... You walk through a holding room where a grumpy older woman takes your $15 cover charge, then she buzzes you in. The bar is very dark, not too big (1 room, 1 stage) and it takes a few minutes for you to adjust to the low lighting. I was there at about 12:30PM on a Thursday and there were only 4-5 other patrons in there. The atmosphere wasn't bad except for the low lighting. There are no drinks allowed in the club - there is a bar in a separate room. The music was good and the DJ was not annoying - he genuinely made me want to applaud the girls.

The girls themselves were 4-6, occasional 7. They were very friendly and did not hassle you for a private dance. They came around and thanked every guy who tipped them during their stage dance. The stage dances were only 1 song long, so they kept up a good turnover time on the stage with a new girl every 4-5 minutes. I didn't get a lap dance but I saw some good lap dances happening on the couches (topless only). Overall I really liked this club and I relt really relaxed in it. I recommend it and will be going back again.
