Solid afternoon spot with a relaxed vibe
I dropped into Vic’s on a Saturday afternoon in May around 4:30 PM. The Irvington area isn’t the best, but it doesn't feel dangerous and I found street parking outside with no issues.
At first it was pretty slow—maybe fewer than five dancers on the floor. I usually prefer a taller, fitter type, and only one really fit that bill initially. It picked up fast after 5:30 PM as more girls started rolling in.
I was the only white guy in the venue - I am not sure if it's worth mentioning, but I think it speaks to the vibe that it never felt awkward. The bartenders and dancers treated me exactly the same as every other guy in the room.
I easily grabbed a seat right at the bar. Makers mark were $7 iirc. There is always one or two naked dancers on the center stage. Afterward, they do the usual rounds asking for small tips—a few dollar bills will do just fine. By the peak of my visit, there were at least five dancers I’d rate a solid 7 or higher, and I managed to get dances with four of them and all were good mileage. Lap dances are officially $10. One dancer expected to be fed one-dollar bills during the dance rather than taking a $10 plus tip per song. When I told her I didn't have a stack of singles on me, she just walked away. The others were fine, but keep some ones on you just in case. Another dancer mentioned that she also works in one of the downtown clubs in Manhattan where she makes $35 / dance - so that was a bargain at Vic's I guess lol. I have to say that some of the girls I found unattractive and for those I just offered <$5 and a 'no thanks' and that was the end of the interaction.
Compared to my past visits - that were years ago - there was no pressure to go into the VIP rooms. In fact, no one even offered, and I didn't see anyone else using them either. It made for a relaxed, low-stress environment.
