Sadly, Nothing Lasts Forever
Since this spot doesn’t get reviewed often anymore, I’ll describe the layout. The bar is in a ghetto, residential neighborhood. You have to park on the street. It’s a square-shaped space with a U-shaped bar in the middle & chairs on the perimeter. Along the back wall opposite the front door are from right to left: the 2 VIP closets, stairs to the dancer dressing room upstairs, the DJ booth, men’s room and ladies room. When you walk in you get frisked and you pay the $10 cover.
Anyone can go back, esp. pre-COVID, and read the pages & pages of reviews of this once legendary, high mileage go-go bar! But at this stage in the game, Vic’s doesn’t come close to living up to that reputation! The place has turned into a make-it-rain spot, w/ several regular dancers very heavy on the plastic! This used to be a spot where hoodrats from NoJersey, NYC and even Philly came to work hard for dollar bills & were very eager to offer ‘knives out’ LDs & full-service VIP sessions. Now, dancers actually get insulted if you dare ask them if they do VIP!!!
The activity on the floor is very tame as well now. Don’t get me wrong, the dancers will do a lil stick-shiftin & your hands are pretty much free to roam where you please, but you should have no expectation of getting that stress release unless you’re cool w/ messin your drawers!
