Needs more Palm Springs in its DNA
Was in town and decided to do some anthropological research by visiting this club. It's kind of on the border of Palm Springs and Cathedral City in a quasi industrial/commercial sector just off the main highway that connects all of the Coachella Valley towns. Got an Uber to the place and the parking lot seemed pretty full for a Wednesday night.
Entered the club and there were two dudes in black suits ready to greet me with the ID request, can't remember if I was wanded or not. The cover was $15 and they told me to head in. They have a pricing sheet that's helpful to know. The layout is wide left/right, not very deep. Straight ahead is the bar seating about 20 chairs, to the right is ATM and lap dance area with an opaque curtain/divider separating it from the club. To the left is the stage and seating area and further left is a VIP semi-private area for longer dances and next to that is a hallway leading to more private VIPs and the dancers locker room.
I got seated in a chair a couple of rows back from the stage. A friendly waitress took my Jack and coke drink order and started a tab. The stage only has about 8 chairs around it as most of the stage is bordered by walls. There are a couple of poles the dancers seem to use some of the time. At first sight, I wasn't impressed with the dancer quality. Mostly a mix of latinas and white girls, some a bit overweight and some a bit strung out. They did their stage dance to a couple of PLs at best (sometimes no one was there), but never did a tip walk after their dance (about 2 songs). They took off their top for the second song - this isn't a full nude club as it serves alcohol. I tried to catch them with a few singles as they walked away, some noticed, some did not.
