First visit in years

Subi’s is rather far from the rest of the action in the metro area. It is adjacent to a quiet seeming neighborhood south of Detroit. I almost am never in this part of town, but one recent weeknight, I made a detour to Subi’s after having dinner about 5 miles north. I can’t remember when I visited last, but at least a year, probably two.

It was around 10 pm. During the day time, parking in the neighborhood is okay. At night, in the past I’ve seen signs prohibiting parking nearby after 10. Ultimately, I decided to risk the valet and pulled into the parking lot. I lucked out - no valet appeared, so I just parked and walked in.

There are two sets of doors. Bouncer immediately on the left at a desk collected $10 cover. I took a seat at a bench along the wall and took the scene in.
