Very quiet and empty

Parked on the street a few meters from the club. It's in the middle of a residential neighborhood, so you feel a bit exposed when you park on Washington ave. Karens could be taking pictures of you through their windows for all you know. The area seemed pretty safe though, no drunk loiterers on the sidewalk or anything. As I'm walking in, there's a dancer smoking outside on a phone call, quite hot, latina. I walk in. There were no other customers. I pause at the front, waiting to be acknowledged, and one of the dancers indicates to a an out of sight bouncer that a customer has arrived. He kind of shuffles over and gives me the rundown, saying it's $20 cover and I get a water for it. There's a dancer sitting in one of the seats who I recognize from instagram: Voodoo, a half-asian, half white, very tatted woman with colorful hair. I used to see her on the IG for the XXXV Club back in the day drumming or something. I spoke with her for a bit. She was surprisingly friendly and loquacious; in some clubs, dancers who are sitting with you will ask for tips constantly, and she didn't seem quite so sharkish as that, so I did tip her gratefully for being pleasant. At a certain point after she gave me a bit of her history with the various gentleman's clubs in the area, I asked if she did dances, so we went in a back area and she grinded on me for two-ish songs. I'm too paranoid about STDs, so I almost unilaterally elect for grinds whenever I'm at a club. I don't recall the price of each dance, but it was under $30, so either $25 or $20 for about 4ish minutes. It seemed like the building was being renovated or something, as the floor had some work being done. I would compare my experience here to the dayshift at the XXXV Club pre-COVID, just in a much smaller space. The lighting, the sparcity of dancers, and the prices were commensurate. Voodoo and the 2 or 3 other dancers were attractive enough. They could probably use some flat screen TVs with sports on, to pep the place up a bit (maybe they do and I didn't notice).
