I dropped by Club Blaze for the first time in 5-6 visits to ATL - for some reason the reviews led me to believe that the club might not be for me - but since I was looking for something to shift gears between a couple of days at Vivide, I popped down on a Tuesday, which happened to be Cinco de Mayo, and stayed from 2-4 or so. There was no cover (I am assuming because it was a holiday), and they were doing $5 shots of tequila and an $8.50 T-bone steak dinner which the DJ kept hyping up every 15-20 mins.

The club is in the southern metro, in an industrial part of town - in fact just 3 miles or so down the street from the new Follies. Parking lot was fine, and security was friendly, just giving a light pat down.

The place

Upstairs was crazy loud, as well as fairly dark, and had a number of couches in alcoves around the periphery of the place, with a large bar occupying the back/left side as you walk in. There was a stage to the right of the bar, but I didn't see anybody using it either as I came into or left the club. A few pool tables were visible in a room off the right (seemed like a totally different room though). I did sit on one of the couches upstairs on my way out for a few dances, but the dancer was pretty far away from me, making me have to reach more to get my grope on - I much prefer the downstairs.
