A follow-up afternoon visit

I visited this club a few months ago for the first time in years and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dancers. Unfortunately I received a phone call that meant I had to leave, and I resolved to return at a later date to see what the dances are all about. A few weeks ago I was in the neighborhood and had an opportunity to visit mid afternoon on a Wednesday. I know this is not the best timing for an expectation of a great visit, but I decided to try anyway.

As expected, I entered an extremely dark club but with no door person to collect the cover charge. I was immediately accosted by Lucy, a Dominican dancer I had met at Cheaters in Providence over ten years ago. She remembered me and joined me at the bar, where I had a $6 beer and paid the $5 cover charge. Lucy has definitely aged, as have I, and we spent a few minutes reminiscing about dancers we both knew from those days in Providence. She was charming and respectful and did not even ask for a dance because knew that she is not my "type." She then introduced me to Luna, about whom I have read for years on this website. Unfortunately Luna is not my type either and she quickly sat back down on the sidelines as I nursed my beer.

I then sat at the small tables near the rest rooms and was approached by 2 more dancers, but I was not interested in dances with either of them. Lucy took the stage and I tipped $5 for old time's sake and hung out for a few more dancers on the stage to see who was available. Unfortunately all of the dancers were not to my liking, mostly because they were all on the heavy side, at least for my taste. There was not a single dancer that was as attractive as those I had seen at night a few months ago.
