I went to Vampiz at 14:30 on a Thursday. There was no cover charge to get in. There is a tiny bar on the left with only two stools. On the right wall there is a stage about two feet off of the ground with a big mirror behind it. Leather couches with coffee tables in front of them lined the perimeter, facing inwards. There are four small tables and eight chairs in the middle of the room. There are televisions inside playing continuous hardcore porn. There was no Budweiser, so I was forced to drink Bud Light or Michelob Ultra. No way was I going to drink orina (Mexican beer). Beers for customers were regular twelve ounce bottles for $3. Drinks for dancers were miniature beer bottles known as ‘fichas’ that are about seven ounces. These were $7 each. If you want a dancer to sit with you, you have to keep buying them fichas. The drink hustle is a big money maker here. I am guessing the dancers and club split the profit. The men’s washroom was a small closet with a urinal. There was no soap to wash your hands. Hygiene is an afterthought in Mexico.

There were six ladies working. Right from the jump, they will approach you before you even get to sit down. I would guess every one of the women working here are single moms trying to support their kids. I would say the age range was mid-twenties to late thirties and body types tended to be curvy or porky. Going to the gym is not part of the culture here, and dancers drink a lot of beer. All of the women I encountered only spoke Spanish. The meseros also only seemed to know Spanish. Despite most of the customers being Americans, they don't make an effort to cater to them. Dancers don’t bother to use the stage. They lounge around using their smart phones. A private dance is $20. Private dances take place in a small closet area with a chair in the corner of the room. There is a curtain over the doorway. The private rooms for full service are $100-130. This establishment is more of a brothel than a true strip club. I did not find any of the women attractive enough for chaca chaca, so I can’t tell you what the private rooms are like.

To get there, you cross the border and walk south down the main drag for three blocks. At Calle Chihuahua, you turn right and walk down about a half block. The club is the purple and pink building on the right. It costs $4 to park on the American side, $1 to cross into Mexico, and $0.30 to return to the United States. If you are a soft gringo, you can call Vampiz and they will pick you up by the border crossing in a shuttle and drop you off when you are done. The town starts shutting down when it gets dark and the Americans go home. I doubt this place stays open any later than 19:00 or 20:00.
