Quick Stop in COI
A friend of mine and I were driving back from Riverside and on a whim, we decided to stop at the Spearmint Rhino in COI where I haven't been for at least ten years. It hasn't changed much. Tehre are still too many tattoos on the ladies for my taste and the management still gets way too artsy-fartsy with the stage lighting. There was also still a lot of dancers sitting near the fireplace and staring at their phones. My friend and I were tipping generously at the stage and I still don't understand why so few dancers approached us to try and sell us dances. I'm guessing there were 20 dancers and only about five came near us. Unfortunately, all five were too inked for me.
Admission was $22. Parking in the lot outside was easy. The men working there were gracious and didn't pat us down or scowl at us like we were there to see their daughters naked. The music and disc jockey were way too loud but I feel that way about almost every strip joint I've never been in.|
My friend, after being annoyed that the dancer he thought had the hottest looks never came near us. When she was on stage, he just went up to her, handed her a nice tip and said. "Come see me when you're done." She did and they disappeared into what my friend said was a nice but small room with a door and it all seemed very private. It was $220 plus tip and I think that price is only good Thursday nights. It bought him a half-hour of a lot of mutual touching. I got the same when I finally got up and went to where a dancer with minimal tattoos was standing and talking with some employee. Five minutes later, we were in a private room that I think was smaller than the one my friend was in. My dancer was naked and I was indecent. It was all quite pleasant but not so much that I'd race back there or call the phone number on the card she gave me, offering closer contact at my place or hers.
