Not What it Used to Be
Millstream Inn. You were my first club. You used to be so exciting. I used to go anticipating either the tingle of meeting someone new or seeing someone I knew I liked. There was always something to look forward to. Now? Not so much.
Millstream Inn is heavily reviewed on this site. I went on a Wednesday afternoon. No cover. Ample parking. Four TVs. No security or pat down or ID check. $6 water. Tip walk culture, bring your ones, and I have started paying for my water with a $5 and ones or $10 so I can more easily count my change, because the cost of my water seems to be (no pun intended)... fluid. I don't eat the food or drink alcohol. Bathroom was clean. The soft cushiony seats are new or reupholstered, those awful red cutouts are gone. They still have a huge sign in the men's room with room prices and announcing that the dancers are paid workers and not contractors and there is no obligation to tip and so on and so forth. But we all know the deal. One central round stage, cage effect, 2-3 songs, nobody got naked.
The room price structure was dizzying. They offer single song dances ($40), 10 minute dances ($80), and 20 minute dances ($120). 30 and 60 minute options available in the cabanas or VIP rooms. I usually look at the cabanas, which now go for $195/30 and $325/60, which of course are way up from what they used to be. I did not partake. VIP and one-way mirror rooms are even pricier. Millstream has always been relatively strictly policed (or self-policed by the dancers) anyway, to boot. Laminated sheets with room prices are scattered on the tables as well.
