So, as everyone knows, Chicas Bonitas was raided recently, sometime in January or February.

Everything I’m about to say needs to be understood in that context.

It seems like the city of Dallas is trying to clean up its more “unsavory” areas ahead of the World Cup in a few months. A number of clubs and businesses have been raided or shut down, and this place feels like it’s caught in that shift.
