Millstream again after a couple of years. Some changes, other stuff the same.

I arrived at 3:15 pm and left about 4:30 on a recent Friday afternoon. There was no cover charge, ID check, pat down or security at the door. I sat at the bar. There are tables but no one was sitting at them. A Bud bottle was $11 and I tipped another dollar. There were 8 customers when I arrived and 12 when I left.

This was my first visit in probably 2-3 years. Physically, I don’t think anything has changed. The room set up, décor, number and placement of TVs, restroom, etc. all seemed unchanged. Not that there was anything particularly wrong with any of that. For a SC, everything ranges from average (rest room) to above average (the stage). In terms of people (bar staff, dancers and customers) everything changed since my last visit. I didn’t recognize anyone.

The week’s dancer schedule is usually posted online. The schedule showed 14 dancers scheduled between 3 and 7 pm but only 4 of the 14 showed up. 2 other dancers who were not on the schedule were dancing. Of the 6 dancers, 4 were younger (< 28 I guess), 4 of the 6 had larger tattoos (a turnoff for me,) none were overweight, 2 were very thin. None of the 6 particularly appealed to me, though none were turnoffs either. Dancer enthusiasm ranged from low (one dancer didn’t even bother to take off her top (vest) to low-medium. A few folks were tipping at the stage, and higher enthusiasm probably would have earned a few more tips.
