Good Vibes
I recently stopped by Nicola’s in Los Angeles and overall had a pretty chill experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff were very friendly. The customer service stood out right away—everyone was welcoming and attentive. When I arrived they were even giving out free hotdogs, which was a nice and unexpected touch.
One thing worth knowing: if you arrive before 5 PM, the entrance is free, but you do need to purchase a drink. That seemed fair to me and made it easy to just hang out and enjoy the place for a while.
The music was a little louder than I personally prefer, but it still had a laid-back vibe that made the place feel comfortable rather than chaotic. The parking lot is also a plus—it’s spacious and well maintained, which makes arriving and leaving pretty easy.
As for the dances, the prices seemed to vary depending on who you talked to. One dancer initially quoted me $50, which felt a bit like she was trying to take advantage of my politeness, so I declined. Later another dancer approached me and said dances were $40, which sounded more reasonable, so I went for one. My advice: always ask about the price first to avoid any confusion.
One thing I didn’t love is that many of the dancers appear to have had cosmetic surgery. That’s just a personal preference, but it did stand out to me.
