The Sapphire advertises itself as the worlds largest gentlemen's club. In terms of square feet that might be the truth, the building originally housed the Las Vegas Sporting House, which back in the day was the best health club/gym in town often accommodating visiting professional athletes and movie stars. I'm not sure when the Sporting House went under and the strip club took over but unfortunately it takes more than throwing up a couple of stages and hiring some dancers to compete in Las Vegas' competitive adult entertainment industry.
There are plenty of parking spaces at this club but the southern lot is reserved for employees and the large northern or front lot is valet parking only. There is no self-parking. I don't like to valet park and give up my keys so right off the bat I had a bad taste in my mouth. It's just another way to nickel and dime people.
If you come by limo or taxi (don't listen to recommendations from drivers who are paid off by the clubs) expect to pay a $30 cover charge. Arrogance is apparently taught to all employees from the valet boys to the bouncers, bartenders, and managers, as you will be made to feel that you are lucky to be able to come in and see (not-so-attractive) women showing their fake bimbo boobs. (There were hotter women in this building when it was the Las Vegas Sporting House.) Once inside a tuxedoed greeter hoping for a tip wanted to show me to a table. I elected to sit at the bar and stiff the stiff. I ordered a bottle of beer for $8.50.
