First time at Jumbo's

Around 10pm on a Thursday night a friend and I wanted to get a drink and see something nice. We stopped at Jumbo's and there is a short line. This is both of our first time even though I've lived in LA for 20 years. I was always turned off by the clown name, I just imagined the psycho Harley Quinn type rocker Hollywood chicks. But my friends always mention how fun it is. The neighborhood is lively and people at all hours. Inside the bar is quite small and crowded. There is a small stage and rail along the back wall and a bar opposite. While waiting to get a drink and bump elbows with the mixed crowd of men and women. This is a place to laugh with friends and tip the dancers who do pole tricks in their bikinis. This is a non nude club with no lap dance area. It feels like a cool old dive bar with bikini dancers. A kind of relic of Hollywood from the 70s vibe, I'm not sure when it opened. The dancers are a range of hotness and physique. Non of them really blew my mind. The music comes from a juke box which the dancers choose their song from before going on stage. A white girl with blue hair was teasing and confronting me for blocking the jukebox. I didn't really vibe with it and it was a little awkward. This is not a turn up style club, it's a quite small bar with entertainment. After a couple of beers I'm ready to move on. I saw a pretty hot asian dancer who was my favorite, and a couple of AA girls were hot. I'm happy it exists. Maybe I would be back with some friends or even my girlfriend on a funny party night.
