A Slow Sunday Afternoon Visit
I stopped in about 4pm on a Sunday. I first stopped at Seductions next door to find out they're not open on Sunday. But Sundowner was open so I visited for my first time. No cover on this day/hour and no security check although the entry was setup to do that including a metal detector (not active).
As I entered I was greeted enthusiastically by a moderately attractive 30's woman who said she was so glad to see me again, it had been a long time since she had seen me. I suspect this is standard strategy to try to build immediate familiarity. She suggested I get a drink, so I purchased a bottle of water at the bar for $6.50. I thought this might be a way to get me to also buy her something, but she didn't ask.
She suggested we sit and chat, so we took a couple of chairs at a round table a few feet from the stage. There's a runway type stage about 40' long through the center of the club. There was a dancer on stage as I arrived. It seems they dance three song sets getting topless by song two. There's a dead song or two between dancers. There were only about 5-6 PLs in the club so there was very little enthusiasm on stage or elsewhere from the 6 or 7 dancers working. I didn't get a good look at most of them, but there didn't seem to be any stunners in the bunch.
