Viet Coffeeland on Alert!

Amid all of the turmoil in coffeeland, I made a visit to Cafe 368 to check out the vibe. This coffee shop is located on the corner of an outdoor shopping plaza with ample parking. The doors and windows are all blacked out to hint at the possibilities of entertainment inside.

As soon as you walk in, the mamasan and the girls verbally acknowledge you and you find a seat. The kitchen is directly ahead and seating is sprawled out between tables and booths with couches. The bathrooms are to the left of the kitchen. They take your order which can be tea, coffee, water, and smoothies. Not sure if they sell alcohol, but I wouldn't put it past them that they have beer for sale.

Really interesting format in OC compared to the SJ scene. I was observing people with stacks of singles on the tables that they would periodically hand-tip $1 or $2 to servers who come around refilling the complimentary tea. The other drink you order (coffee/smoothie) is not refillable unless you order another drink.
