Not as great as what the other reviews make this to be!

I was in the South Florida area on business. I'd already set my date for Friday night at Tootsie's Cabaret. However, I had some time after 9 PM, the day before. So, I decided to venture out to some Pompano Beach clubs. Outside of Tootsie's, the Pompano Beach clubs seem to get the most rave reviews.

On a Thursday evening at 10:30 PM, the parking lot was almost full. Pretty safe neighborhood. As soon as you park, a guy came up to me and said $5. Initially, I thought he confused me with someone looking for valet parking. But then, I realized that there is a fee to park even within the club's parking lot. This was kinda strange because I have never really paid to park at the club's parking lot, previously elsewhere.

As soon as you walk in, you have the usual schtick from the Cubans who literally stand just immediately after the counter for the cover charge and drag your arm to go to a VIP dance. I've seen this at other places as well and so politely declined and walked past in. There are 2 levels of the club. Fairly small club. There's a bar both downstairs as well as upstairs. I did not bother to take the trip upstairs.
