Peppermint Hippo = Solid Gold 2.0

The Peppermint Hippo Pompano had its soft opening a couple of weeks ago and I recently had my first opportunity to check it out. Let’s just call it Solid Gold 2.0. I could literally cut and paste my 2024 review of Solid Gold here and it would be 100% accurate - right down to the girls. But out of respect to Founder and this site, I’ll write a new (albeit very similar) review.

I arrived at the Hippo at 5 pm on a Thursday afternoon. This is usually a busy time at Pompano strip clubs, but not here. There were just a few cars in the fenced, lighted parking lot. I walked up the steps to the front of the building, past the golden lions left over from the Lion’s Den era. There was no valet, no parking attendant, no doorman, and no one at the front desk. No cover, no pat down, no ID check. I literally opened the door, and walked right in.

Inside, it is identical as it was as Solid Gold. A single, rectangular room with bars at both ends and a long stage in the center. There are tables on the floor on both sides of the stage, with elevated booths behind. Along the front side of the building there are “suites” with names like “presidential suite” that are presumably private VIP rooms. The small satellite stage and grand piano are gone, but otherwise it is the same as SG, with the lap dance rooms in the back, to the left side of the far bar. The building, furnishings, and furniture is all very nice and upscale, likely the nicest strip club building in south South Florida. There is also a full service restaurant that is not operational yet. The bathrooms are to the left of the near bar, but there was no troll at the time I was there.
