Exactly What I Wanted

A particularly long week of work and travel left me itching to party and blow off some steam. I wasn’t feeling like my usual rounds of debauchery whenever in Houston, as I was more in the mood to stay in one place, do some bottle service, and just have a great time for the night. Naturally, I quickly settled on spending the whole night at one of my favorite Houston party spots: CLH. A quick text to a manager friend of mine to ensure that he and my favorite waitress were working, and I was in the Uber and on the way from the hotel a little after 10:30pm.

To save some of you time on reading my review and/or potentially making a regret-filled visit here, I will leave a few of my usual disclaimers whenever recommending a place similar to this:

1. If you’re looking for extras (and more), look elsewhere. ITC FS is impossible here and ultimately hasn’t been an option since the official transition from Michaels (my fellow seasoned vets will remember) several years back. While certain items short of FS are possible with many, the price-point to obtain them here is quite high by any metric. Not to mention, Houston is filled with much better clubs (with respect to both looks and prices) if that’s what you’re in the mood for.

2. If strictly Latin vibes are not your flavor, you should strongly avoid. The music is 99% Reggaeton, the clientele is predominantly Latino, and 100% of the staff and dancers are Latino. More specifically, the dancers are almost entirely Cuban; I promise you that even the ones that say they are Colombian or Venezuelan, 9/10 times are actually Cuban.
