Major Changes and Much Improved, But Still Mediocre

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to CCR – probably at least three years. I had a flight going out of DCA, so I decided to wait for my flight since it’s literally just around the corner from the ramp to get to the airport. Previously, CCR was just a dive restaurant that happened to have a small stage and girls that took some of their clothes off – bottoms stayed on, and while tops came off, pasties were required. Three years ago, they had standard restaurant seating, with booths and regular four to six person tables. The girls fed dollar bills into a jukebox machine for music.

I came in on a Friday in mid-January 2026, and I was completely shocked to see that it’s now been completely transformed into an almost legit strip club. Apparently, back around November or December 2025, the operators of the Paper Moon strip club in Virginia took over CCR, and they made some major changes. All of the seating is now small round tables with two to three chairs around them. There’s a host stand at the front where a suited boss-guy will greet you and let you know where to sit. It was pretty empty around 5:00 p.m. when I got there, so he told me to sit wherever I wanted. The restaurant space is a lot smaller as they’ve built out the back of the restaurant for private dance rooms. The prior owner had started to do that, but the new owners have extended that. The smoking room looked to be about the same. And they now have a real DJ that calls the girls up to the stage – no more jukebox!

Although the vibe of the club has changed significantly, it’s still no comparison to a “real” strip club like those you’d see in Miami. The girls still do a tip-walk for their customary dollar tips after they do their set. The stage is still the same, the girls are still just fair to middling, though there were two girls working that night that were 7s or 8s, and the girls still don’t get naked as I believe that they’re not allowed to by law. The food is also quite good as they’ve maintained their full restaurant menu and specials. I didn’t partake in any dances as they were quite expensive and are all air dances from what I understand. In the past, they were something on the order of $40-50 per song, and I didn’t have time to partake in any event due to my flight. One of the 8s did come up and sit with me a few minutes before I had to leave, which is too bad because I would have liked to have chatted her up a little to see if she might be up for somc OTC fun the next time I’m in town.
