Checking out 2001 Odyssey in January of 2026 on a Friday night

The last time I was in 2001 Odyssey was March of 2025 and it's one of my bell weather markers of the Tampa club scene so I figured I would stop in and see what 2026 had to offer. I stopped in on evening January the 16th.

I got to 2001 around 11:00 and the parking lot in the back was about half full on a Friday night. If you have not been there before the parking lot is well lit and there is an attendant, the club is right next to popular pub, so it always feels pretty safe, although the parking can be a little tricky if you own a bigger truck or suv.

The door fee on that night was $30, which is $5.00 more than it was last March. I don't know if the $30 is just a January price or there was some event going on or if that is the new price, but it is a little bit of a sticker shock after paying $20 for so many years.
