After giving it some careful thought, I finally decided to check out Follies at their current location for the very first time. I never went to the original location, but I’ve heard it was amazing. I took quite a few trips to the current location between 2017 and 2020 when it was home to Foxy Lady, and up until a few weeks prior to the pandemic lockdown, when it was The Office. Although Foxy Lady (The Office) didn’t always have the most attractive dancers, I always had a good time with the $5 dollar dances before I eventually had my first VIP experiences. Foxy Lady was also a pretty chill place if you were looking for something discrete and without a “make it rain” feel. I didn’t make any trips after the remodel when it reopened as Rain.

I received a warm welcome from the security guard and pat down at the door. He then told me that it would $5 and $5. $5 for parking and $5 for entry. He opened the door for me and wished me a good time. I was a little bit turned around upon entering the main floor and seeing the remodeled layout. The bar is still along the back wall in the middle of the club. I was looking for the restroom which once off a little hallway to the left of the bar. That has now been flipped with restrooms being on the right in the area that was dancer’s locker room. The main stage is now to the left of the club in the area where large, curtained VIP area and manager’s office was. The raised seating area that was on the wall opposite the bar is no longer there. There is a raised VIP booth area on the left wall, which is where the DJ booth and smaller and cheaper VIP option was available at Foxy Lady. Most of the floor seating consists of tables and barrell chairs. There are few high-top chairs and a love seat or two available along the walls.

On this visit there were 5 dancers. There were three black girls, one white girl and one who may have been Latina The music was mostly slow R& B tunes, so the atmosphere was pretty relaxed. The songs seemed to be played for full lengths. There were about that many customers as well. It was before happy hour so that I may have explained the small selection of dancers and the small number of patrons. After making my trip to the restroom, I sat down at table. A couple of the staff members came over and asked about a drink order, I declined as I seldom drink. It was a few minutes before I was approached by a dancer.
