Surprisingly worthwhile visit to the Cajun Club

It was a rare Saturday night when I had the freedom to go out for some fun, so I decided to give the Cajun Club another shot. My last visit had been on a Monday night, and I would like to say things were dramatically different on a Saturday, but that would not be true. The biggest change was that once the staff realized I was there, I was charged a $10 cover.

I arrived around 10 pm. A dancer had just finished her stage set and was heading back to the dressing room. There were no other dancers visible on the floor, and only four or five patrons in the club. Based on the whiteboard roster on the wall there were likely three or four dancers who must’ve been in the dressing room.

I took a seat on a couch against the wall away from the stage, which is my preferred way to start an evening at a club. Within fifteen minutes, two women came out of the dressing room together, walked straight over to me, and started making small talk. By small talk, I mean one of them leaned down, cupped my unit with her hand, and whispered in my ear, “You gonna take us in the back for a dance?”
