George likes the twins

The Silver Criket is on Michigan Avenue west of Telegraph Road in a light industrial area, adjacent to Home Depot. You enter from the back where there's free parking and a fenced-in lot. Sometimes there's a security car but I've never had problems or felt unsure of the surroundings. The security patrol is probably for late nights and crazier crowds but you should rely on your own judgement. If it feels unsafe then come back another day. Before 5 there's usually no cover, and after 5 you should expect to pay about $10 and get passed over with a wand. If it's cold they'll expect you to check your coat and tip the greeter. It's a small to medium size club with about ten seats at the bar, maybe 20 tables and 10 booths. Expect to pay for a booth. The main stage is in the center with two poles. Bathrooms are in the front toward the left side. They are nice and clean and there's usually no troll except weekends you might see one. The VIP area is in front, or the far end of the club, and there's a $10 charge that used to be for the entire evening but might be per visit. Negotiate with your entertainer before you get a room or you might get a surprise. Per dance they'll charge upwards of $25 and don't be surprised if they quote big numbers to get nude. It just means you need to negotiate a package and not pay for dances. Some dancers have a full menu but YMMV.

This club isn't flashy or overpriced and has a friendly vibe. Depending on the day of the week, time of day, and time of year, your experience could vary. The crowd can change, the dancer mix will change, the music will change, but Criket navigates all the ups and downs. I only wish they'd reupholster the chairs around the tables before someone falls through. If you sit in the middle of the seat your butt could fall through the chair. Or you need a bigger butt.

On this particular night there were tons of good looking girls. That's not always the case. I've been there when the girls were sloppy, but tonight most were fit and happy. I met a girl I thought I recognized until she told me she had a nearly identical twin. She was also there. I need to take them back together. I chatted up another Cuban girl, also there with her sister. I don't know what's going on but I like it. It was an easy crowd and I should have stayed longer, but I only had an hour and it wasn't enough time.
